Privacy Policy

Effective 5 October 2026. This policy explains how Platagen handles personal and business information.

1. Information we collect

  • Account details, including name, email address and authentication information.
  • Business profile, audit answers, uploaded evidence, recommendations and project communications.
  • Order, subscription and payment status. Stripe processes full card details; Platagen does not store full card numbers.
  • Technical and security information such as IP address, device, browser, logs and cookie/session data.

2. How we use information

We use information to authenticate users, run the audit, generate results, deliver purchased services, process and verify payments, provide support, secure the platform, meet legal obligations and improve Platagen.

3. Service providers and sharing

We share information only as needed with providers that support the service, including Supabase for database and authentication, Stripe for payments, Vercel for hosting, and approved implementation or communication providers. We may also disclose information when legally required or to protect users and the platform. We do not sell personal information.

4. International processing

Some providers may process data outside Japan. Where required, we use provider terms and safeguards intended to protect information across borders.

5. Retention and deletion

We retain information for as long as needed to provide the service, keep financial and legal records, resolve disputes and protect the platform. Users may delete eligible unpaid audits from Audit History. Paid audit and order records may be retained where necessary for accounting, contract, fraud-prevention and support purposes.

6. Security

We use access controls, encrypted connections and server-only credentials where appropriate. No online service can guarantee absolute security. Do not upload information that is unnecessary for the audit.

7. Your choices and rights

Subject to the Act on the Protection of Personal Information of Japan and other applicable law, you may ask to access, correct, stop use of or delete eligible personal information. We may need to verify your identity and may retain records where the law or an existing contract requires it.

8. Cookies and sessions

Platagen uses essential cookies or similar storage for login sessions, security and core platform functions. Additional analytics or marketing technologies, if introduced, will be described or presented with appropriate choices.

9. Children

Platagen is a business service and is not directed to children under 18.
